Noble troops

Hi, just started the mod it's pretty fun.

How do I get noble troops? I only seem to find common troops in towns.

Also, what are castles for I can't seem to do anything to them

noble troops will be able to be recruited after the castle are open for family to conqueror

You can receive higher troops now thanks to the newest additions to the mod which include bandit hideout quests. This will allow you to come across higher tier troops that you can then recruit after saving them successfully.
