I made a long and daring voyage to the Batanian empire to try get some ranged troop but all i can recruit are their combat troop. Is there a way to get archers?

Hello, UKM Kyle.
Battanian archers are noble troops (T6). In Bannerlord Online you need noble upgrade kits to get such troops. So you need T5 Battanian+ 4 Noble Upgrade kits and you will have Battanian Archer Tier 6.

Also there is a guide about this:

Thanks for the speedy reply Moonlight. So after reading the thread (appriciate the post of it btw) I kind of understand it. Can is use any Battanian unit to upgrade them to a noble unit, so as example a high tier melee troop can then be upgraded to the equivalent noble ranged unit?

Yes. Any t5 Battanian will be upgraded to a noble archer with 4 noble upgrade kits per unit.

There is also ability to farm ancient coins and cups in the desert which you can use to gamble (at Ancient Trader) and obtain noble units from him.

I don't know well i will fair in the deserts and wildlands just yet. 34 troop and im a big noob XD. Sooner or later I'll be giving it a go though.

I don't recommend you to go to the WildLands if you are new and especially if you are alone. It's a PvP zone and you might be disappointed with the way how some people will attack you even if you are new.

If its pvp its exspected to happen but the game is difficult anyway. I tried my first tournament and died instantly XD. Its all a learning curve. I am learning all be it slowely XD

Wildlands is not that difficult. And going in with smaller stack to defeat desert bandits will usualy make you escape quite easily.
It's introduction towards PvP and nice learning curve/experience. Just point is to not give up when things dont go your way.
We've alll been in your situation. :)

You also have frostlands which is basicly same but you fight on foot without horses. I'll send you info about that too later:
